Shining a spotlight on the vital crew members who often work behind the scenes, this panel celebrates the team that is rarely seen, but are essential to bringing any film to life. From gaffers and sound recordists to production designers, composers, and first assistant directors — those who keep the shoot on schedule and organized — these are the creatives whose work shapes the emotional and logistical core of every project. This conversation celebrates their contributions, unpacks their processes, and gives them the flowers they deserve.

Argie Seth (she/they/them)
Production Coordinator
Argie is a filmmaker and screenwriter whose work explores stories that challenge norms and embrace life’s serendipity. Having lived in six countries before settling in Atlanta, they draw on their multicultural roots and queerness to tell stories of immigrants navigating capitalism and the myths of the American Dream. At 19, their debut short Stranger Danger screened at Vienna Shorts, Lift-Off, and HKAFF, earning international press coverage; South China Morning Post, Asian Movie Pulse, India Today.
They have since produced for Netflix and Disney and independently completed a feature, while continuing to focus on screenwriting as their primary passion. Inspired by Kiarostami and Satyajit Ray, their work often merges documentary and fiction to reflect on history’s resonance in the present. Their current project Why We Left The Mountains is a Semi-Finalist at 1497 Fellowship and hopefully more to come!
