Joshua Tree, 1951: A Portrait of James Dean

The life of the young, ill-fated actor James Dean is depicted in this new film by Matthew Mishory.

The highly cinematic movie was filmed partially in Joshua Tree locations, with James Preston playing a pre-New York, pre-fame Dean. The film is an “intimate portrait” of James Dean's life, his work, and his legend. It is a story with much to say about Hollywood, about sex and sexuality and interpersonal relationships and American society”

Starring James Preston, Dan Glenn, Dalilah Rain, Edward Singletary, Jr., Erin Daniels and Robert Gant.
